Water Fairies
My water tastes like shit. I've been hanging out with a new friend lately and he has a magical water fairy who brings him fresh water from a local spring, collected and delivered himself. It tastes... alive. No idea how to describe it but it's awesome and now regular tap water tastes like metal :-(

Never Ending Story
I got a Van Gogh!!! Well, a print of one anyway. I've been wanting a nice large piece to put above my kitchen table ever since I moved in and my dear Donovan came through for me last night with a salvaged, excellent condition, ginormous print of 'Starry Night' - yay! I love when stuff like that happens :P

What else is new and interesting?
I got to hold a wee baby chick on Saturday! Sooooooo cute - I got pictures! They're in Don's camera though lol.

Being there (at Howard's gorgeous old home on a beautiful huge property) made me crave something similar for myself: even just a wee little home on a decent sized property - close to the city but secluded enough to feel like you're really in nature, apart from crazy society. To lounge outside among trees and grass and gardens; to be free and inspired to write and make art and just create create create... I dunno, it's rejuvenating and I love being close to nature. Yeah I've got some ideas :P
Also went to a couple of flea Markets on Saturday - so many (toooo many) awesome things to look at! It would be dangerous for me to go there if I had alot of money!
I didn't buy anything but I definitely had my eye on an old telephone:

Sort of like this one but much nicer and it was black. It was around $40, which I probly could have done but I thought I should wait till I can really truly afford to buy it (or one similar to it). I just think it's so cool! I don't want it for use, I just want it for decoration - it will go well with the antique type writer I plan on one day finding. Awww yeeaaaah!
Blah.
What else...
Ummm oh I'll show you the thingy I made for Don! He's the clumsiest feller I ever met - he accidentally broke one of my coffee mugs but I held onto the handle for some weird reason. This is what I did with it:

Oooooh 3D-craziness!

The quote says "Mistakes are almost always of a sacred nature" - Salvador Dali
He claims to like it lol.
Ok I go now!

Are You Joking?
Tell me if this gem from 'The Corporate Air Quality and Climate Change Strategic Plan' doesn't make you furrow your brow just a tad:
"The Corporate Air Quality and Climate Change Strategic Plan aims to achieve the VISION 2020 goals that are related to air quality and climate change:
• To ensure that the City of Hamilton has the best air quality of any major urban area in Ontario"...
What?
Are we not aiming just a tad high here? How'z a bout starting with a more attainable goal, such as, hmmm, I don't know, making it so that the air quality isn't so bad that the stench makes any person sick?

*sigh*

My Half Japanese Bastard Child
Out with the old, in with the new.
Not since before I moved into my former house (March 2007) have I felt motivated and able to "get shit done."
I've just finished an intensive spring cleaning and my life is on a better, clearer path.
I finished the spring cleaning in time for today's new moon, so I topped it off with a releasing of old crap in my life, a cleansing of my home, and then a burning of healing incense.
Exhale.
Life is good. We are all on our paths and I feel good knowing I'm actually ON my path as opposed to the bulk of society who've strayed seemingly permanently - looks like zombie town. Feels odd being lucid around the foggy and lost.
Some goals I'm working on: My health.
Not until now have I had the inner strength to take hold on my health problems and REALLY do something about them. Because doctors are no longer really doctors and I have some permanent disabilities, it is difficult, but the goal is to not have to depend on those "doctors." It will take a while but it can be done.
On that note, no longer needing the one medication I'm on is also going to happen - and the sooner the better because it makes me foggier, less alert, and dumber than I naturally am and that won't due.
These are not pipe dreams, I have plans of action! :P
Career wise, I have a few fear hurtles to get over that are slowly being tested. I need to work through those.
My spirituality has settled into a better, more evolved place. It is very intuitively focused, nature focused, healing of myself, others, and the earth focused.
I seem to have evolved out of the need for specific deities or archetypes of spirit and am perfectly comfortable with the basic energy spirit aspects.
Some people need to rely on gods and goddesses, which is great and I'm still very into that, but they can become a crutch for many, which isn't healthy.
I've very much adapted what is referred to as 'living simply.' I'll post more about that soon, but it is really fulfilling, really helpful to the environment, and very easy on the wallet.
Anyway, I must end this entry on an adorable not, with a pic I just took of my cat George, mid-mew:

The Cost Of Bill C-288
According to an article in May Day Magazine, 'How Much Is It Worth To Stop Global Warming?' by Chris Borst, the cost of Bill C-288 (meeting the targets of Kyoto: reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 6% below the 1990 level by 2008-2012) would result in 276,000 in jobs lost - a number that the Canadian government feels is too weighty.
Canada suffered two recessions from 1981 to 1982 and again from 1990 to 1992, which cost Canada about 800,000 jobs. These recessions were deliberately caused by the government to defeat inflation, which was apparently necessary for restoring "fiscal discipline" and "stabiliz[ing] the value of money."
So, according to the government of Canada, 800,000 lost jobs is okay for "defeating inflation" but it is not worth 276,000 lost jobs (a significant amount less than the 800,000) to stop global warming.
My only defeating thought in the plight for cleaning our air has always been the fact that "they" will never bother, it will cost them too much money.
Now my thoughts are more along the lines of, 'who's gonna hold the gun to Mr. Harper's head (the Canadian government) and make this happen?"
P.S. Bill C-288 has yet to be passed in the House of Commons.
Love Marylin.

Photos And All Out Kahos
After transforming ourselves into Ana the lover, and Lilith the demon, Shauna and I, along with Grant and Don, headed down to the Hermitage on Saturday afternoon with the intent of taking photos.
Here is one of the many trails that Don thought would lead us to the ruins...

And here are the ruins after we finally found them.

After standing in the scorching sun, trying to get the poses just right for the scenes I wrote, we gave up on the script and opted for some spontaneous fun!

This was part of the scene but it looks more like Grant is trying to get lucky...

Spontaneous fun involves props...

A big man with a big mace...

What are you doing to the mace, Grant?

And Don broke the chain after doing God knows what with it in the shower...

Yeah baby!

And more picture taking...

Okay kids, we're outta here!

What a fun day! We headed to an old graveyard to take more artistic photos but the place ended up being fenced in and we had to cancel those plans.
We ended the day with dinner at Tally Ho's and a trip to Value Village, where Grant found this awesome game that combines poker, blackjack, roulette, craps, and twenty-one all in one fun filled game. I think I won, lol.
Unfortunately most of my pictures turned out horribly (see above), but there are few gems I'm going to hoard for later ;)
