Step 1: Individuality

Q: How do I recognize that [the person with ADHD] is an individual with habits, characteristics and ways of reacting to daily happenings that are different than mine?

A: I recognize he is an individual with habits, characteristics, and ways of reacting to daily happenings that are different than mine by trying to practice being non-judgmental, by trying to lovingly detach from expectations, by tending to my own self, my own life, and my own individuality, and by communicating with him regularly so I understand him better.
