About Me

'bittersweet little waves'

I have a love/hate relationship with Hamilton, the dirty old town in southern Ontario where I was born and raised. The culture here is amazing – full of art, music, theater, literature... but it lacks the nature I love so much. Mostly cement and smog here. Cement, smog, and potential.

I have had an interesting mixture of employment through my life… from owning my own small publishing company to reading tarot cards over the phone for Miss Cleo.  In my early twenties, while working at a promising office job, my health began to quickly deteriorate… I was forced to leave work and then was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis.  The Universe had stuck me with some really crappy health challenges... but in exchange, she made it possible for me to do exactly what I was made to do – write, make art, and create! A very mixed blessing for one who isn’t programmed for the nine to five lifestyle.

It’s been an interesting journey with a lot of bumps in the road. As an added bonus to my life adventures, I have Borderline Personality Disorder.  But I get to write. I get to sit down in my PJs and create. That’s the blessing part of this mixed up story. Writing is in my blood, it’s like air to me. So that’s where I am: sitting at my desk at home, slowly working out my plan to become a famous word genius ;)

I'm a very passionate person, never knowing what I’ll write about next, but I assure you, I make no apologies for it.  I love to read, I love to make art, I love to cook/bake, I love to waste time on the interwebs, and I love being with my friends, who constantly encourage and challenge me.

So thanks for checking me out, I hope you come back.
